Default I want to buff the wheel wells inside the engine bay

I have a red SS and I want get the wheel wells in the engine bay to look more like they have a clear coat finish.

I'm just wondering if something works better than other things on a finish with no clear coat?

seems kind of hard to do without clearcoat on there... but i suck in the paint/detailing department

that would look good though!

tire shine...... is the only way to do it unless you have clear coat on it.... you cant get base coat to shine unless it was single stage paint.... which it is not.

i usually spray the tire shine on before i wash the car. then when im done i take a clean towel and wipe down the inner fender wells and everything else i sprayed it on also removing the water droplets let in by my hood. doing this also doesnt leave any water streaks.

oh yeah, CD2 is a great product, but I was hoping I could wax the snot out of them with something so that they always appear shiny.

Maybe I'll just clear coat the darn things.

You're not going to get the base coat of a two-stage system to shine on it's own without clearcoating it, end of story.

Only thing you can do is a wax with some abrasivese LIGHTLY and it will shine up some. Also keep some wax on it for protection.
