Default Covering drilled holes in throttle body?

My throttle body has 2 holes drilled in it and I was wondering if metal tape would be okay to use to cover them or if it would eventually come loose and get sucked in to the motor?

Long story about why I have a throttle body with holes in it but I know it's been causing my idle surge.

I've always used JB Weld. Before I had LS1 Edit for my WS6, I used to change hole size in my TB all the time till I got the idle where I could stand it with my cam.

The JB Weld worked fine. It never fell out, and I could drill through it again without issues.

I second the JB Weld. If you clean it good, the JB should take care of it for sure.

Yes, be sure that you clean any oil residue off the TB blade before appling JB Weld. I'd suggest using some carb cleaner, and/or HD brake cleaner (the chlorinated good stuff).

JB weld will do - unless you have access to a TIG welder and someone who knows how to weld slowly without warping...
