Default Kooks headers help!!!

I need a set without the EGR stuff, I don't know what size to get... I was thinking about 1 7/8, but I heard it was good to get the stepped ones to 1 3/4??? (would it be better to get stepped or straight, they have 2" I think too... not sure if that would be too big or not... i'm going to spray a 300 shot this year)

My T/A is pretty much a DD, I like to drive it everywhere, it's a:
383 LS1 11:1 compression, port/polished LS6 heads, G5X3 112 cam, victor jr/90 elbow with 90mm tb, way too much else to list, pretty much all the goodies... I'm gonna run alot of n2o through it this year and wanted to ditch my pacesetter 1 3/4's (I put them on my stock ls1 z28) or do you reccomend another brand of headers? I'm looking to get the most out of my exhaust and need some imput... thanks!!!

Seems like you gotta lot goin on in that engine. If it were me id get the straight 1-7/8. Youd prob lose power with that 300 shot on a stepped header

I'd vote for the 1 7/8" as well...that's a pretty serious setup you got there. Lots of cubes and lots of spray it sounds like.

I opted for the 1 3/4" myself, but I'm only running a full bolt on, H/C setup.

Good luck!

Straight 1 7/8" is your best bet. IMO. Nice set-up by the way.
