Question MTI G1/GM 243 combo?

ok so i over heated my engine a while back and it's had a very small coolant leak coming from the drivers side head ever since. My plans were to replace the head gaskets and bolts of course so i went ahead and ordered a kit from my dealership, then a buddy suggested that it might be a good idea to port on some heads that he had since i was gonna pull the heads anyway. so i ported one head and then ran across a pair of 243s for cheap so now i'm thinkin i should port on these instead and hopefully i'll get better performance out of my engine.
my only worries are just how compatible are these heads with my current cam set up. the heads are 100% stock right off of an 01 vette i think(blue springs). the head gaskets are the stock replacement gaskets.i don't want to have to play guessing games with my valvetrain and i'd hate to find out about any clearance issues the hard way.
any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
