Default 229/229 575/575 cam and 1.8 hs rockers too much lift?

i have a 229/229 575/575 cam and 1.8 harland sharp rockers...will this combo make it to much of a lift? i keep blowing head gaskets...this is my second pair ive blown...first i had copper and then went with cosmetic and they still blew what is wrong any oppinions?

cosmetic head gaskets... hmm.. who sells those.. Mary Kay? or the Avon Lady?

If you are losing a head gasket, not sure why you are suspicious of the valve train setup. Have you checked the deck/head for flatness? Always the same gasket? Were the surfaces perfectly clean prior to installation?

The GM MLS gasket is pretty forgiving, sounds like you haven't used those.

n/a motor, sounds like you are not trqing them tight enough, or a bad tune?
