Long tube header guys, best FIT and FINISH?
That's it guys, fit and finish, regardless of material, and a g-note or under pricetag. I don't want to have to grind away or cut anything up to install a set of long tube headers and y-pipe, without banging the floorboard, or notching the k-frame etc. on a '99 ls1 f-car? How did your install go?

There's no guarantees with any exhaust system, you can always run into problems. My pacesetters nearly installed themselves. When I was removing them for the Kooks, they literally fell out of the car when I removed the last bolts. But, comparing those headers to a stainless set is apples/oranges.
Best fit/finish, headers and y-pipe, for any I've seen, on average, would be the Kooks 1-3/4's with their y-pipe (ORY or Catted).
This thread isn't going to get you anywhere though, people are going to chime in with their own personal likes/dislikes, I forsee it getting closed in the near future lol.

Thanks guys. I'd buy the Kooks in a heartbeat, but they're just outta reach for me due to tight emissions regs here, and an even tighter wallet! Uncle Sam's check wasn't THAT great!!

If your on a budget the pacesetter headers and tsp y pipe is a very good way to go. But if you do go with pacesetters dont get there y pipe get the texas speed one. The hardest part installing them is getting the old stuff off but other than that they fit great passenger ones go in very easily and the driver's side takes about 2 minutes longer and thats using jack stands also

I went with QTP's. The headers installed great and look awesome. The mufflex y-pipe was a different story. When I first installed it, it hung too low and hit the floor. It's a little better after alot of adjustment, but not the greatest.

I went with coated Pacesetters. Best bang for the buck, but can't compare to Kook's or QTP's as far as build quality. Install was easy...on a lift
If you do alot of racing or live in ocean air I would go stainless.
