We are thinking about installing this intake on the 2000ss and want to know if anyone is having problems with the fit of the intake or the throttle body that comes with it. If there is a better choice for a throttle body that you would use and fits the intake please speak up. I don't care about a small h/p loss or heatsoak, we have the drag car for speed. We are taking the camaro on the Power Tour and would like to finish off the engine with a polished intake and fuel rails.
Thank's

Patrick, it isn't that new of a product. I saw it the first time at SEMA 2004. Just doesn't work as well as an LS6 intake from what testing has shown. Looks pretty though.

Cant see the point in running an intake like the one mentioned above. Unless your running a single plain or sheet metal which most street cars dont need, stick to the composite. Heat soak does matter, ask any LT1 owner thats tried to hot lap an LT1 car. One of the reasons why LS1s run more consistant, intake dont get nearly as hot. No ice bags on the intake

Heatsoak, heatsoak, heatsoak. I dont care if this intake lost 10 hp. This is not a race car! This is a street/ show car. The only reason I want to buy this intake is because it looks badass and will really complete the theme in my engine bay. This is for the SS, I would never put this manifold on the formula. Thanks for yalls help, ill call around to HPE, MTI etc..
