Default "Fulll bolt ons"

I always see the term full bolt ons used a lot......in almost every video I see it X car vs. ls1 w/ full bolt-ons.......what are yalls definition ....... I believe its full exhaust, lid or cai, maf, ud pully.....pp tb or aftermarket.....and an intake....ls6 counts if your car came with a ls1 intake.....I thinkon a lot of videos ppl are claiming the are racing againt full bolt-on car that may only have a lid and cat-back... term seems to be used kinda loosely ......I don't consider myself a full bolt-on car

I think you've covered it. Only other bolt on I can think of is an electric water pump, but you don't have to have that to say "full boltons". I'd consider mine full boltons and cam.

I consider full boltons to be everything and quite possibly the best of everything. These are for a stockish LS1.

Lid
Fast 90/90 combo
pulley
EWP
Longtubes
duals

There's other little things to that might not seem like much, but every little bit helps. I don't really consider these bolt ons.
Filter
Front ram air
synthetic oil
good plugs and wires

The way I see it is that "full bolt-ons" is parts that can improve performance and can be installed without getting into the internals of the engine.

So, basically what everyone has posted.

Headers
ORY/X-pipe
FAST90
90mm TB
Underdrive pulley
Electric water pump
Lid

Thats pretty much all the engine boltons.

Are you sure thats all that "full bolt ons" means? Ive seen ppl with "full bolt ons" dyno 370rwhp. There was a thread about that about a month ago about ppl (multiple) with full bolt ons putting down 360+ hp. I assumed that they considered ls6 heads a bolton.
Also is turbo considered a bolton? Some ppl would say yes some say no.

anything that adds to performance that takes money out of your pocket and that mounts to the external part of the engine is simply a "bolt-on"... if a ride has the general amount that have been listed then well, it's a "bolt-on" car

LS6 heads are not "bolt on" because you have to pull internal engine parts to replace heads.

Turbo falls into the "power adder category" If we follwed the logic you just stated then blowers, turbos, and nitrous would be considered bolt ons.

There are freak cars out there that put those numbers down. Mine put down 349hp and 366.5tq and while I don't consider mine a freak, it is one of the stronger running bolt on cars I know of. I don't have a pulley or electric water pump either. Both of those a little more tuning would prob net me 360ish.

I'd say

full exhaust
lid, ssra,
P&P TB & LS6 intake or better
Ud pulley
electric waterpump
all free mods

A lot of people claim full bolt ons but they really just have full exhaust and a lid...or something like that.

I say anything that is outside the motor is a "bolt-on" heads, block, cam, and the intake would not fall under this category!

Allot of people tend to forget that those of us with 98-00 f-bods have a larger cams (not by much,.. but still) than the 01-02 cars. I'm not one of those who get pissed,.I just want an LS6 intake to shut people up at this point!

this has been discussed a million times. Bolt ons are just that. Nothing from the oil pan to the heads. The rest is all game!!

If your running just bolt ons I dont think you would need a fast 90 specially if you have the ls6 alrdy.
