Default What type of silicone should I use?

Now that I have my smoked signals, I want to seal them with some silicone. But I have no idea what to get? And should I get it from the parts store or a hardware store?

I went to Walmart and picked up a tube of marine grade silicone in the fishing/boat parts area. I figured if it's MADE to seal out water on a boat it damn well better work for some turn signals! I haven't had an issue with mine and they have been on the car since 2004.
