Texas Speed Rumbler X True Duals
I just purchased a set of Texas Speed Rumbler X True Duals. I am having some real clearance issues. The dumps that are attached to the end of the Dynomax Bullet are about 1 1/2 inches - 2 inches of the ground if that. That is with the rest of the pipe pressed against the body causing it to make allot of noise with it hitting the bottom of the car. They are installed in a 02 TA with Automatic. Anyone deal with this before and have any hints to solve the problems.

Did you install the X right side up? The TD sticky at the top has I think some good pics by Blur demonstrating how it should be installed. I installed it the wrong way first, then fixed it and got lots of clearance. Also, I would trim the dumps so that they are parallel with the ground (tough to explain, again, I think there are pics in the stick ). Do you have poly mounts? That should help with the banging.

They take alot of work to make them ride right. Did you remove the tunnel brace? Did you flip the fuel line brackets inside the tunnel (and re-install the fuel lines)?
When you get them mounted to the headers, put a board under the dumps and jack them up. If they hit anywhere, you can dent the body, dent the exhaust, or adjust it some more. Cutting off the bottom of the tips to where they don't hang lower than the bullets helps too. I had to dent in the front of the driver side bullet on the top so it wouldn't hit the floorboard, but it was pretty much riding inside the tunnel when I was done. In this pic, you can see the dent and the tips cut down. Car was lowered 1" in rear in this pic BTW.

yeah i agree with TheBlur, you have to work hard to make them fit right with good clearence. Ive been messing with mine for awhile, doing what Theblur suggested, ive got about 3" of clearence, but have not yet cut off the tips of the dumps. hoping to get another 1" or so after messing with it some more.
