Stock Flexplate. Internal or external balance ??

Stock Flexplate. Internal or external balance ?? I wanna put an SFI flexplate on my LS1. The motor has a stock short block. Do stock LS1's require an internal or externally balanced flexplate ?? I'd hate to find out the hard way. Thanks.

I can't remember because I don't mess much with ls"x" stuff, but all you have to do is see if your old flexplate has a weight on it or not. Weight= external balance, No weight= internal balance.
