Default 317 milling questions

how much should i mill my 317's im running N/A so the compression needs to atleast be stock but prefreably higher. but i still need clearance for a 230"/230" .595"/.595" 112LSA cam.

...and that's why people generally don't use 6.0L heads on a 346ci motor.

I just cc'd a set that was milled .030" and the chambers were still larger than stock, coming in at 68cc. Add a thinner gasket and clearance gets tighter still.

It would be best to keep milling them, modifiy your intake manifold, and just flycut your pistons, OR order some 243 heads.

If you decide to go a different route, we can do you a set of brand new 243 castings bare for $395.00 per pair. To get the 317's to 67cc, you are going to mill approx. .040".
