Default How to clean IAC valve and throttle body?

My car's idle has been acting funny and one of the solutions that I've been suggested was to clean the IAC valve. Now, I do need some schooling on this stuff so my guess is that it's the sensor on the right of the throttle body held in by 2 torx bolts and has AC printed on it? There are 2 sensors, both bolted in with 2 torx bolts each. How can I properly clean these sensors without damaging them? Are they sensitive, like the MAF?

The sensor inside my lid also looks dirty. How can I safely clean that?

The IAC motor is on the driver's side of the throttle body. It is the one on top (the sensor underneath it is the TPS).

You can try cleaning any carbon/gunk off the pintle and clean around the bore in the TB where the pintle seats. But usually if the IAC is going bad, it will need to be replaced rather than just cleaned in my experiance.
