installing 1 - 2 slider anyone got any advice? the keys keep coming apart while im trying to tap it on. this is the 2nd time and i gave up for now.... i dont feel like getting it off again to put it back together.... appreciate any help. thanks

was just talking with my dad and i think using a big pipe and the press would be better then tapping it on with the crappy plastic hammer i just threw through the wall 
any feedback on that lol

definately use a press, that was my best friend when rebuilding my transmission. I had to take it apart so many times. I think it would still be in pieces if i didnt have the press. lol

yeah, the press worked very well for that. dunno why i didnt think of it to begin with lol.
what is everyone doing for assembly as far as lubing it? just putting a little on the synchros and bearings?
