SLP Predator custom tune question?
When I first bought my Z28 I got one of the SLP Diablo Predators and found with a lid and a Loud Mouth the SLP custom tune that is put in this predators gave me little or no gains so I returned it to stock tune and only really used it for setting my axle ratio's etc. Now this custom tune is meant to be worked out on a dyno to give your car maxium gains with the SLP performance pac according to there comerical.
So since I returned my car to stock tune six months or more has past and I have added a SSRA,LS6 manifold,march pulley,1 7/8 kooks headers,ORY,got rid of the loud mouth and got a magna flow,level 2 preformer built trans,3.73s,3800 vig stall, aluminium drive shaft,ported maf and done a T/B by pass.Now I realise some of these mods will having nothing to do with the next part and my question but I decided to load in the SLP performance pac tune that is on the predator and wow what a difference I got more TQ and Power of course I dont know how much but could someone chime in and give me an idea it feels like 20hp or so is this possible?

Only sure fire way to know what's going on is to hop on a dyno. The butt-dyno can be deceiving. Just out of curiosity, where are your LTFT's when cruising around and what O2 mV's do you see at WOT from the B1S1?

LTFT = long term fuel trims
O2 B1S1 = Oxygen Sensor - Bank 1, Sensor 1 (the pre-cat O2 sensors). You want to see what the millivolts are at when at WOT.

from what i understood, the custom tune in the predator was only if you had an aftermarket MAF. doesnt matter what else you had, but if you did only the SLP or another MAF, you needed a custom tune. i dont know what would happen if you used a custom tune on a stock MAF. i doubt it would be overly bad for it though, just wouldnt be up to 100% potential.

Version 1 firmware? How do I tell if its one of those? Is it that true about the maf? If so should I perhaps get one of those??? I thought everyone says they are rubish but in this case are they good for a few more HP when combined with the SLP preadator tune???

I would leave the MAF alone. The mod does not give that much of a return to compensate for the hassle of buying it. The stock MAF is good for up to about 500hp. So unless you are over that amount dont worry about it.
As far the firmware, when you power up the Predator what bios and version does it say on the screen?

Stangbanging69 go to diablosport.com and it is on the site, you have to send the unit in for the firmware update and the stock tune has to be in the car in order to do that.
Z28xtc, what good does the SLP MAF going to do you if you dont really have mods that require it as of yet? I mean if you want to throw the money way then go ahead. I am just saying there is money to be sent elsewhere for more power.
