Default SLP Rear Springs Installed (pictures)

Ok ...I have installed just the rear SLP springs so far and removed that raspy truck sounding GMMG exhaust. Here are pictures of the car with just rear springs installed (1/2" drop with 1/2 tank of gas) and the new 1998 WS6/SS single outlet exhaust (car has a much more pleasant tone until you nail the throttle...deep powerful tone and NO RASP!)

I think the stance is perfect for the street (curbs, road kill, inclines, tall speed bumps...4 passengers). I will install the SLP front springs and post pictures as soon as I get some new shocks...KONI's maybe. SLP states up to 1/2" lower drop using their front springs.

I still have the GMMG, the SO-CALLED best after cat system. But I am much happier now with my new set up... looks and sound wise. Anybody need a GMMG?

A dual outlet exhaust is VERY FAKE on our single exhaust cars.

Ehh lots of cars have single exhaust with dual outlets not like we have 4 bangers with 2inch exhaust and 4in tips. Im not much into the sound of the gmmg from what I heard either but there are other good catbacks. Its what you like tho .

You could always run true duals also.

I had once read in HOT ROD or CAR CRAFT that this system did not meat EPA's sound requirement at full throttle, which is why GM stopped making it. I paid $450.00 back in 1999 over the GM parts counter. It was bolted to my 1998 Formula before I traded for the SS.

Remember that Pontiac TV commercial in 1997-1998 of the black WS6 Trans-Am revving at the stop light. Well...this is that SAME exhaust.

It was also used on the 1998 SS Camaro

Nice that setup would look weird on a TA tho since it has spots for 2 tail pipes.

I cannot remmember what the 1998 WS6 looked like in the rear.
Did the 1998 WS6 have the cutouts?

I do know this was the standerd issue WS6 exhaust for that year.

By the way...thats a purdy Black SS you have there. Will you sell me those chrome wheels? I'll trade you my GMMG for them.

I do want new wheels but I would kind of like to keep all the stock parts not sure tho I might let them go. Where are you located?
