Default grinding 6th, no speedo, no reverse solinoid, fresh build

just finished rebuilding and installing an overhauled t56 yesterday and found that the reverse lockout solinoid and the speedometer are not working,(I checked the wiring 3 times, there pluged in correctly) it goes through the gears fine except 6 which grinds every time I try to put it in while moving. Im thinking something is wrong in the tailshaft section since thats where everything is thats causing me a problem. does anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong???

Check the wiring again. The reverse solenoid has a black terminal and takes the black plug. If you plug the white one in( it will fit but its for the skip shift)ypu will have reverse probs( very high shift efforts). With the speedo prob, you may also want to check for a bad fuse.

Good suggestion, but I think you would benefit more from a phonecall.. give them a ring- Amber is a huge help!
