I quite like them, makes the car unique, and its not too over the top on the stripes. Suits the car. Personally I would keep it like it.
What the red long thing under the side of the car, more noticible on the top photo, has the exhaust been painted or something, although its not the standard route for the pipes.

the red under the car are my crazy low hanging Sub frames. And i decided to ditch em, My car is simple and still stands out due to mot many LT1's around here are modded near as much.

Glad you ditched them Erik, I think it would be worth it to test some black stripes on the side of the cowl though.
