International Members - Car question!!!

On right hand drive vehicles with manual transmissions, do they shift away *like left hand drive* (1st is close, 6th is far) or do they shift toward themselves. If so does this mean they use a different transmission?

I've just been wondering this and no one could answer it for me.

ITs the same everthing is the same other then you sitting in the passenger seat I mean driver seat. Clutch pedals gas pedals basically everything is the same set up just on the right side of the car. Shifting with the left hand take a little getting used to.
