no one makes them, they have to be custom done

what a pain in the a$$ that sucks. i installed a McEwen white face back in 1997 and in the past two years my rpm, speedo needles have been sticking, and i noticed last summer the gas also. so i checked it out and the backing is coming loose on the overlay for some reason in some areas. so i'm going to buy a new overlay, and thought i would see if a 200mph was a option. thanks

the DO make overlays for your gauges...but i don't think they make overlays...or for that matter the 200mph speedo for your car. i'm not 100% sure on that though.

the 200 mph gauges you see around are not overlays. They come with overlays, yes but they are not mear overlays. You have to send your gauge cluster into these people, and they install some new parts and put an overlay set on,then they calibrate it, then they send it back to you. I dont see why they couldnt do an lt1 or why you coudn't buy an ls1 gauge and swap it out. But it wil be the same prcess which costs around $300 i think. If i were you id email them and ask about your lt1. if they say they cant do it then hit ebay and grab some ls1 gauges for $40 and then ask them again. You can have any local gm dealer reset your odometer so it reads correct.

i think i actually have an extra one now that i think of it....hmmm i wonder where it is. Yea and theres rumors that it wont work and you have to specially modify your harness to get the digital odometer to work etc etc its all bullshit.i bought it off a totalled 99 formula and put it in my 94 v-6. I was saving up cause i was 15 at the time for all the conversion peices. I put it in just to see what it was going to look like. The i went to move my car to wash it and do a whole photoshoot deal. To my surprise everything lit up inc the odometer and always worked. When my cousin bought a 96 ly1 ws6 4 of her gauges didnt work so i sold it to her. But when she got rid of her car she put back the original becuase she had a rare harley davidson trans am and in original trim its more valuable. So its at her house somewhere. Im going to look for it tomarrow
