Default Lid problems...

I bought an MTI lid off of another member on the site and am at my girlfriends trying to install it and haveing a hell of a time....

i have the stock intake off, the IAT senser in the new lid, but the lid wont go onto the MAF... like the maf looks to be bigger than the lid... as far as i know everything is stock on the car... is there supposed to be a coupler that i didnt get and should go buy or what?

i need help as i only have an hour before i have to leave and want to get this done before next week

thanks

Try heating up the neck of the lid with something like a hair dryer for a couple of minutes and then the MAF should slide right in.

You could also file or sand down the edge on the stock MAF to help it loosen up a little bit. Also look inside the lid to see if there is any excess molding flash that can be sanded or filed down. My lid is real tight on the stock MAF but my car also came with a GMS MAF so I run that and it fits a little better.
