made my first pass down the 1/4 in the new car. Ran 13.50 at 108 on a 2.2 60' running pug rich. Bairly got into 4th at the trap in a 6-speed. I was expecting 12.50 at 115 or so on a 1.9 60'. Still havent learned how to launch at the track. I launched at around 3500, slipped the clutch and rolled on the throttle. Needs about a 4k launch with less slip and more throttle. I need a tune bad too, motor completely falls off at 6k when motor is warm. Pulls hard to 6500 when the motor and air are cold. I did outrun a cam and bolt-on 6-speed ls1 who layed down a 13.70, he was also running street tires and trapping 106.
The car really needs some gear and to me leaned out, advanced timing. feels like its got 2:73s in a 6-speed.
Maybe next time I can play with some 12s.
UPDATE::
car ran like total crap today, lugging all through the rpm range. I decide to take the negative terminal off the battery for an hour. hour goes bye and I put it back on, I tighten the positive side and arc the wrench on the alternator. I then play with the aeromotive fuel pressure regulator take it for a spin, same deal. I come back and put the regulator back the way it was. Take it for another spin and wala pulls hard to 6500 again. drive for about 10 min and get on it and it bairly misses at 6k at full temp. Now the car is back running the same way it did when I bought it, and the service engine light is now off. Then I decide to take the cutout off. Start the car and it acts like its got a 255 255 cam in it having to use the throttle to keep it idling. get back home and put the cutout on, and the car is fine.
All this completely blows my mind.
