Special Edition Vehicles - How can this guy know whether or not his car is a real SS???

Open the driver side door. Read the RPO codes. Is there a WU8, if so it's an SS. If not it's not.

Just read the thread. Sounds like he got ripped off.

You can also call SLP, and give the vin #. They'll tell you if it is or not, but I'd go davered00ss's route on the rpo code.

Call SLP with your VIN & find out if they have any record of it.
Or simply visit your local dealer with your VIN. They can run the VIN & give you the RPO-options-listing print-out.
