Default My car shakes when I stop..

When I stop at a decent speed my car shakes back and forth really fast and the closer my car comes to a stop the worse it gets. My pads and rotors were change about a month back. What could be causing this?

Did you get aggressive with the brakes when you first had them put in? You're supposed to go easy on the brakes for the first few hundred miles if you want them to wear properly.

It was doing the same thing with the old pads and rotors.

Have you had the rest of the suspension looked at too? It could be alignment causing it to pull when the brakes are applied or even wheel balance, but that's not likely at low speeds.

Well I was thinking wheel balance because I went over the mileage for me to have my tires rotated and when I did have it done I didn't have them balanced. It is only when I apply the brakes. If I coast to as stop it doesn't shake at all.

What does it do at a nice slow easy stop? If it kind of lopes (not a smooth stop) then the front rotors are warped.

That's strange because it's normally warped rotors. Were they replaced or resurfaced? If they are new, try moving the front tires to the rear.

They're warped. Does the rate at which they shutter slow down as the car slows down?

Another vote for warped rotors here. Take them off and to a machine shop and see what they say. I dont know if they can be turned or not if theyre warped but they should be able to tell you at least.
