do you loose any power going to a ls7 clutch and ls2 flywheel?

Default do you loose any power going to a ls7 clutch and ls2 flywheel?

Ok im looking at the ls7 clutch kit for my 99 ss. I rad that the flywheel is 10lb heavier. so how much HP am I going to loose with this setup? Thanks, Brett

I haven't seen any dyno numbers to compare. It should be little bit, but not HUGE. If your really that concerned go with a different set up.

Im going to be at 350 rwhp. So am I looking at like maybe a 5hp loss? Im also looking at the spec 2+. How do these compare? Thanks, Brett

I seemed to have a noticeable low end torque/hp difference. If i let out of the clutch about 1500 rpm and put it to the floor it accelerates MUCH slower. But leave at 4500 and its a whole nother story

yes you will loose torque and horsepower, but mind you it's worth it in the fact that you will now be more effctive in transferring that power to the wheels.

Stock I made 315/295.
With a SLP lid, LS6 intake, LS7 clutch, LS2 flywheel, I made 325/306.

I'm thinking the LS7/LS2 combo pretty much equalizes with the gains of either the LS6 or the lid. What I do notice is that it holds the power significantly better. I think it's a fair trade off.
