Well, I got the Harland Sharp LSX 1.8 ratio rockers in on Friday. I installed them today and just took the car for a spin. Seems to pull harder in the higher rpms. I think it was definitely worth while. The front rockers where very easy to install. The rear rockers on the side of the engine near the firewall were a bit harder but not too bad. I will continue testing and give another report on the rockers in a few days. But so far so good.

So does the DoD still work with the rockers?

Pretty sure it does...you just can't cam it and still have DoD

Was there an issue if you changed springs though?

Is there alot of gain if you dont put in springs and rev it higher?

DOD still works after springs. Mine seemed to feel like it had more torque all over the power band after the springs, and now it can be spun to 6500 on the 1-2 shift and keeps pulling up to that point.

The car definitely has a different (better) feel to it. Seems to be much stronger in the powerband past 4500 rpms. It also seems to have a more throaty, deeper tone to the exhaust at cruising speed, but it is very subtle. DOD definitely still works.

I decided to go with just the rockers for now. Will possibly get the springs and push rods later on. But for now, I am happy with the performance. So far I have modded the car with the following"

Installed:

Intense FWI
Hogan Downpipe with HiFlow Cat
Vector Tune
HS 1.8 Rockers

On the way:

Vector Motorsports Heatsoak Reduction Kit

Going to buy:

Magnaflow Exhaust for GP GXP.

Possibly Adding Later:

CompCams 918 Springs
Hi-Tech Pushrods

Don't get a magnaflow....waste of money.

Go to an performence exhuast shop, have them do some stainless 3" to the Y, then 2.5" to the tips...Much cheaper than the MF system, more breathable, and it sounds better.

I happen to like my magnaflow very much. It may not be the loudest, but I like it that way. i don't want an annoying exhaust. The magna is only throaty when you get on it, which is exactly what I want. It doesn't droan while driving.

do you think there would be a difference in performance if any from the LS1 aluminum 1.8 rockers like the ones you guys have installed and the other available LS1 stainless steel 1.8 rockers? the reason i ask my engine builder has stainless steel LS1 roller rockers in 1.8 ratio with poly locks for $190 which is a good deal cheaper than the $380 for the harland sharp ones.
