Question Where to buy a rear

Looking for a good 12 bolt or 9" but not trying to spend no more than 2,500. I'm kinda new in this department and want to know what should I look for when shopping for one like the best brands, size splines, spool, posi, gears and so fourth?
I have 98 A4 TA and it has a few mods nothing to big though I do have big plans for the car in the future I want to keep it as a DD and still be able to go down the 1320 and kick some ***.

I am sure you will get a post by a sponsor about there rear, there are good companies here. As for expectations of the car, you really need to decide this. Personally if your not making over 600 rwhp, a 12 bolt with a HD eaton posi or tru trac should more then handle the power, if your going over, then get a spool.

As for the 12 bolt/9" debate, I took the 12 bolt due to my hp goals, daily driver expectations and not as much loss in the hp and curb weight diff between the 2.

Whats your expecation, like mod list, goals, and budget. This is a big purchase, so make it with the best possible info.
