Hello. Just wondering if there are any LS1 owners (f-bod, Corvette, GTO) in Italy on this site? Im studying in Florence until May, and I havent seen any yet... not that i'm expecting to! I never thought i'd miss my Trans Am so much... It'd be great to hear a nice V8, not a 125cc scooter. :)

Hi,

I am currently living and working in Milan, Italy. I have my 2000 Chevrolet Camaro SS here with me. There are not too many LS1's here to be honest... up here there are a few older cars, a decent amount of newer Corvettes and a lot of Hummers. There are a few american car clubs in italy... corvetteitalia.it and corvetteitalia.com are two of the biggest I know of.
There are also a few GM dealers here in Italy.. one is called Cavauto, they sell Corvettes, Hummers, Cadillac's etc, but prices are high for the newer models, hence most US cars here are older models... or kept hidden away until the weekends!!!

I've never seen a 4th gen in europe, and I have lived there for 16 years. The only f-body I saw was a 3rd gen firebird.

Hi,

I'm just off the top end of Corso Sempione, not far from a new Corvette dealer that just opened on Corso Sempione...

When were you here? Check the sig. That pic was taken in 2001 and there are plenty of Fbodies ALL over Europe. They just don't come out a lot for whatever reason. The biggest Fbody meet outside of the US has over 500 in attendance every yr.

I also saw one in Vicenza, Italy leaving the Army post. Loud exhaust. You guys should check out the military forum to find some guys in Germany and Italy.

yeah, i would imagine that there are a few in aviano, its like mini-america. vicenza is huge also, so i would imagine theres a few.

one night i was waiting for a night bus in piazza venezia (hammered...) and i saw a hummer (first time id seen one in person, had only seen them in magazines) and was so confused!

They do hide them until spring then watch the jaws drop when the old Caddy's come out for a day. Priceless.

There used to be an older 3rd gen group based in Milan and we'd drive up to Lake Lugano in Switzera, then over to San Remo and Nice through the hills above Monte Carlo. Wicked curves, fun as hell.

I miss 'home' so con tutto, mi amore' Milano.

Figures, my Italian is shot from having been gone so long.

That would have been funny to see - they still selling those painful to more than 2 people Panda's for about town cars? I hated those but we took one to Fiat and they tinkered with it - it actually hit 210km on the autostrada from Venicia to Milan with 4 people in it.
Our legs were tired from peddling though.

They have Drag Races at a drag strip south of Milan near the Autostrada A7 that goes to Genova. U Might see some there?

I did not see many 4th gens. Seen a 4gen TA in Taormina Sicily, not a WS6. Toarmina, Che bella cittadina, anche le Belle Ragazze sulla spiaggia. ( Nice little city, with beautiful babes on the beach :-) ) Some of their Bikini's are like Nothing :-)

Check out this site http://www.americancarsclub.it/raduni.html
If Ur still there May 11 - 13th , their having a American car show at Florence.

Lots of Hummers, Chevy, Dodge Pickups. Did'nt see too many fords.

Seen a Viper at "Mugello", Ur close and U might see something running round the track there? Check it out. If you don't see 4th gen's, U can watch the Challenger Ferrari's go round n round.

210 km in a Panda, WOW, U must have peddled Hard n Fast !

Buon Proseguimento

I think it was close to Rozzano. I heard it was an old airport that they turned into a drag strip. I searched for the website but could'nt find it.

I passed through that area a few times. Pavia, Opera, Voghera and Binasco.

I enjoyed my 4 years there. One thing that sucks is all of the traffic. Especailly in August! The Autostrada's are Parking Lot's ! ! !
