Default I need some serious input!

I have located my exact car but it has been modified by the Vette Docs with a maggie blower and alky injection setup and tuned by East Coast Superchargers. This thing is still brand new! OR, I can get a real nice head and cam package. I am so confused right now because the cheaper option is to get the car. But I don't know if I will like the blower whine and the additional weight. Those two issues are my big hold-ups. What would you do?

This is seriously confusing!!

You need to have it make sense...........

Are you saying the Vette doctors have a car you can buy that is like yours except w/ a maggie? And that you could go the H/C route instead?

I'm confused.

Both options are good. A H/C setup is certainly wakes up a Z. But you'll never get the power the blower gives you without adding NO2. As for the extra 100lbs on the nose, I guess it could be an issue on a road course, but nothing you shouldn't be able to overcome.

I really like my setup Eric. The power is there when you want it, and runs normal the rest of the time. And the Alky kit makes it safer when you go WOT, but does kick in until you hit 4 psi. How much boost is ti making?

Then there is the sound. I love the lope of a good cam. And I like the blower whine too. But you only hear it at stop lights, just like the cam. Either will make people do a double take. The blower setup might get better gas mileage. So it could be cheaper all the way around.

Serious tuning would be required either way. So if you went H/C you'd need to figure that in. What color is the blower car? I know how much you like yours.....

Hey Eric reminds me of a conversation we had a long time ago. I wuold say get the blown car the power will be much smoother than a head and cam package, and also then you dont have to worry about idle quality, passing emmisions, or tunning issues, plus the install is already done plus i think the maggie would give you better performance at the track. Is the car a six speed or auto? But the real question is what you want to do.

Is the motor built on the other car? If not, go w/ the heads and cam.

Thats exactly what I was going to say.

the extra weight on the nose is nothing to be concerned about.

Don't buy a modded car. Someone like me could have driven it.
Had I the money I would have gone turbo or s/c. I went h/c and n2o instead.

Yeah, turbo/supercharger is like paying straight up cash, N20 is like a down payment on a loan.

Agreed. If I had the money I would rather have a s/c than the n2o for the EXACT reason that Eric (Poik) points out.

If you got the heads and cam job done to your car you would know what was done to the car (past and present). With a new car you would always wonder if someone broke something before you owned it, especially with power adders.

Thanks for the input and keep it coming! To answer some questions:
1. Its electron blue and mod red (otherwise I would not be interested)
2. The motor is not built but the conversion work was done by the Vette Docs and East Coast Supercharging. It put out a max of 560fwhp prior to being detuned with a 3.2 pulley and tuning. Estimates are at 475-480rwhp and can run all day reliably.
3. The car has been on two tracks (Lime Rock and Pocano). The owner is an SCCA licensed instructor. He has truly babied this car.

Now the big issue is to sell my car. If anyone is truly interested then PM me and I will give you the specifics.
