Which slave are you using? I have had customers in the past that the dealerships or parts store gave them the wrong one. Make sure they are the same as the old one.

Thanks,
Amber

Crack the bleeder screw, then try it. And as you have seen, you should not be able to move the pedal at all with the fitting disconnected.

is there a way to release pressure from the slave cylinder? my problem is that the hose will not connect into the transmission. it wont go in far enough so that it will connect. could this be because of my new clutch? i have the spec 3+ and it came with a shim that i was supposed to use to shim the slave cylinder and i did so. now i have everything in and ready to go and i cant get that damne hydraulic line to go in far enough so it connects.

That's why I said to crack the bleeder screw (it is on the slave) and THEN try to connect it. That will relieve the pressure in the slave.

Listen to Meentss02...You must relieve the slave.

Crack the bleeder, as difficult as it is to get to.
Otherwise it will never go in.

I had this issue before and this had worked. Usually I have a hard time getting the damn thing off, and I have the special tool for it.

I've learned to plug in the slave right before tightening the tranny in.Makes it easier but we do have a special socket assembly to hit the bleeder if we have to.
