Wheels & Tires - Chrome or Silver ZR1s?

Black 2000 SS. Opinions wanted. Personally, I like the OE silver color, but the chrome looks so nice on black cars.....

I actually do like the silver(painted?) color also. But it doesn't look as good on black as lets say on on a silver/red car. Go for the bling look.

on a black car i'd definitely go for chrome

my dad had a black '01 SLP V6 Camaro, had the SLP grille, silver racing stripes, and the 16" silver ZR 1's on it. looked REAL nice:D Had a Z28 muffler and tips and stock RS badges. good combo on that car

Silver...I know I am in the minority but I just don't like the ZR1s in chrome :)

totally depends on the color car. dark color cars i would say chrome all the way. but for my car, which is red, im going with silver. silver zr1s on a red camaro look sweet

CHROME FTW, silver just looks bad on ZR1's they tend to look unfinished. Gunmetal would also look really good

i love the silver ones on the SS cause i can just wipe them off and im done. the gunmetal looks awesome also.

gettin a set of these in 17/11 all the way around for the SS for track days.

I love them both, I went with Chrome though, easier to clean.

chrome is NOT easier to clean. its easier than polished wheels, but silver wheels are just as easy to clean cuz they are painted and clear coated. u dont have to worry about spots on silver, and with chrome u have to wipe them spotless. im not saying chrome is hard, cuz its a lot easier than polished, but painted is just as easy to keep clean and spots wont make them look bad.

i think silver ones look good on red cars as well, but i'd go chrome on a black car

TooFaztZ's car looks killer with the silver, I'm probably going with gunmetal or black myself if not silver. Chrome is my last choice. Good luck.

Out of the two choices I say chrome, but I think black ZR1's on a black car are the way to go.

Well, the majority seem to favor chrome over silver painted on here. BUT, I'm going to say I like the silver painted better (depending upon the color of the car of course). I used to feel like chrome was the only way to go, especially since I have a black Camaro. However, almost every 4th gen Camaro I see running around has "chrome ZR1's" and personally, I'm really tired of them. Having the silver painted rims is actually somewhat unique in my opinion and I think they look damn good on a clean black Z28/SS. And TooFastZ's car proves that on this site. :D

If I decide not to get the polished aluminum TT2's I've been considering, I'm definitely going with the silver painted ZR1's on my black Z28...

chrome, clean looking (especially on a black car) and fairly easy to clean.

definitley go chrome, they look so good on a black car.

i think their easier to clean except for water spots. You can just wipe the dirt right off, and dont have to actually polish them.

I've seen both and when a Black car is all detailed and then there are just silver wheels it looks to plain, with the chrome it really makes the car stand out and look beautiful.

Just my opinon tho, not everyone thinks the same.
