Too many people, and I could never get a decent launch out of my car. I was spinning hard in second , every time. My buddies were all spinning as well, so I know it wasn't just me.

We went there 3-4 times when I was in school down in CT. Always SOOO packed, you'd be very lucky to get 3 runs in.

Having a track is better than having no track though.

That is what keeps LVD in biz, also the dirt track makes coin.

As for the last day ScreaminRedZ went and it was retarted, I was busy with something, a parted out car

I agree, on a Wed night, running the event you get 2 time trials a 1st round then go to Test and Tune, I get 3-6 runs but spring time is best air quality so everyone goes that time, all the junk and all the race cars that break baaaad.

I actually talked to a couple friends about this, we have come to the conslusion it would be more fun to go hang out there on a wednesday night then go to a car show... so I think wednesday nights a few times this year we're gonna go and watch, make funny ricer video's, etc.etc.

Should be fun. Getting any more hten a couple runs at the start/end of the season on a wednesday night.... not gonna happen.

I don't think I'm going to make it opening day, too much left to finish up. Sucks that they moved it back 2 weeks though, used to open the 1st weekend in April. I'm hoping to get there a few times in late april and may before the air gets crappy.

I like LVD, yet I stopped going on Wednesday nights a few years back because I could only get in maybe 2 to 3 runs over 3-4 hours.

The place was swamped with 15-17 second rice burners and that was enough for me.

Personally, I think you shouldn't be able run unless you're under 14 seconds.

Just my opinion. Maybe I'm biased because most LS1 cars run 13 seconds stock

LVD is usually shaky in April. The right hand land lane usually has alot of water seepage because the river runs right along side and water table is always high there in early spring. You really have to pay attention if you line up in the right lane there in springtime, and sometimes they only run TT in left lane only. Over the years, have seen many cars tangle with wall/Jersey barriers in right lane in spring racing at LVD. WJ

Early spring no one is there...10 runs a night.

Every night varies. I have been going there since 2002 and if bad weather threatens but never shows, its a 10+ run night

Racing is racing and some people can't afford a decent 13 second or quicker car. I have a modded LS1 and an 88 305tbi Formula and even though I would much rather take the Camaro, it's still fun in the Formula even though I'm running 15.79 @ 87 (especially when I already have a rental day ticket and the Camaro breaks the night before... ). When I couldn't afford an LS1 and just had the Formula, I went a bunch of times with it and it was a blast! No slow time/speed restrictions should ever be put on the track, especially when everyone pays the same price!

As far as the first day goes, probably way too busy. I wanted to go on the Friday they are renting the track but BlackScreamin can't get out of work. I think we were planning on Saturday April 21st (not that it will probably be much better than the first day...).

Yeah I know I am so damn busy at work since we just merged with a company in Austin, TX. So I am going to be back and forth for the next month. I will get it installed in April sometime...I am just shooting to have fun with it for April-October then she goes back in the garage for another winter.

PS: do they weigh you're car at LVD?

They have a scale there by the timeslip booth, though it seems to only be on about 10% of the time.

Scale is usually off for Test and Tune. Scale is mostly used for cars that run in some classes w/weight classifications, I believe. WJ
