Just had LS7 clutch installed...
I just picked up the car from the shop my friend owns...I had the LS7,LS2/LS7 Flywheel and B&M Ripper shifter installed along with a new Slave and master and pilot...I must say, I like the way it drives...for the power im looking at right now I think it will hold up nicely...its alittle bit stiffer than stock but almost feels as if it is stock. so if anyone was considering the LS7 clutch i say go for it...we'll see how it does at the track when I break it in...hopefully i dont encounter some of the probs i have read about at the track...

I think a lot of people who say bad things happen to their stuff either don't take care of them, beat the **** out of them, or are maybe full of ****. I am on my 2nd 98 M6 Z28 and the stock clutches on both held up to huge dumps, burnouts, donuts, and track time. Never had a single issue with my rear end either. I'm not saying it can't happen I just don't think it's as bad as some say. I am thinking aboiut going with the LS7 clutch as well. Unless you make lots of power or want to dump it on slicks I see no reason for anything too crazy.

I have the LS7 clutch in my caris is does ok. It's doesn't like to be slipped at all. On the street though, it's a pretty good clutch. It's help my power fine and I'm making more than a stock C6Z puts down.

its a good clutch. But I don't see how people gripe knowing the limits and go do 5k dumps on drags and wondor why there clutch lasted 2 passes. These are the same people that want to run on the track all the time but "can't afford" a 1000 dollar clutch for this abuse.
If your not making huge HP and don't drag everday its a great deal on the price and performance.

I've had mine for over a year.. I've clutch dumped at 5k 4k 3.5k numerous times and have never really had a problem.... my only clutch issues are with the crappy line that came from the factory... i need to do a drill mod....

It took me a whole year to fry my clutch fully, and the car had 56,000 miles when I bought it, I changed the clutch at 80,000 miles.
I started feeling the need after 75,000 miles.
held out pretty well for me powershifting daily, taking it to the dragstrip every month or so and making 5-6 passes( per month) and doing a fair share of clutch dumps and burnouts along with fetahering the clutch when I do spirited driving.
however the powershifting has taken its toll on my synchros.
