Spoiler: 96-97 ss vs 98-02 ss
Car is getting repainted. The original spoiler has roughly 10 coats of paint on it, as it is now has a HOK candy paint job. Early into the prep work, I'm thinking it needs to be replaced. SLP has a killer deal on the 96-97. Any thoughts?

the 96-97 dosent have the "braces " under the bottem, but in my opinion if ur car is a 98-02 ss u need to put that back on there to match the year of ur car, if its a z then go for the deal, but yea slp is sometimes a rip off, i like to call them

I like a 98 & up better, but if i had a true 96 or 97 SS, id keep the stock spoiler. A lot more exclusive and keeps it original.

Keeping the correct spoiler for the 99 was my original thought. However, the hood will be a VFN, the fenders are new, and every other 99 SS item is gone with the exception of the floor mats and dash plaque.
