What was the method you used to break it in so you don't get any noise or whine?

I've got one in my car, and love it... the guy that sold me the parts for my center section told me to heat cycle it 3 times: meaning, drive 10 or 15miles down the road, and let it cool off (like you were going out to eat or a movie) then do the same 2 more times.

after that, he said drive it like you plan to from there on out.

never had a problem, nor do I have any horrible whining from it either.

The True Trac is a really good unit, so much so that Eaton bought it from Detroit! Bob

9" w/tru trac here as well. Love it.Bob at EPP or Scott at DLS can hook you up with one. I got mine from DLS. Break in instructions were 3 trips of 15 miles no faster than 60 then one trip of 150 miles no faster than 60 . Then it should be ok. Your heat tempering (the face of the gears?) so you want mild heat then greater heat with proper cool down in between cycles. The easier you break it in the better off it will be is what I was told.
