Default Halo Headlights

I am getting some of the Halo Headlights for my camaro and I was looking for instructions on how to hook up the angel eye ring. I would like it run like a day time running light. Has anyone done this oe how is it done. What is the best way to hook them up?

You would have found the answer in a search:

You can tap into the DRLs, side markers, or fog lights.

If you tap into the DRLs then they'd be on pretty much all the time.

I forget how the DRLs and front side markers are wired up on a Camaro. Are they the same thing or differnt bulbs?

Yeah, do the daytime running lights also act as your blinker or is there a seperate bulb because I really don't want the halo to blink when I use my blinker. Also, How do all you suys get pics of just your halos and fogs on at night. I cant do that because of the damn auto lights.

I wired mine up to the foglights. They're not really bright enough that you can see them when it's still light out, but it's nice that they light up when I unlock and lock my car.

there is no point to wiring them to your DRLs, they arent visible during the day. the whole point of the halo it seems is to come on when you unlock your car or when your car is parked.

I have my Halos hooked up to daytime running/park/turn/alarm.
So they are being used all the time. FTW!!!

If you start your car with the parking brake on, the headlights will not automatically turn on. You can then manually turn on your parking lights and if your Halos are spliced into those they will light up too. That is how I got my night pics of my halos. They are not noticeable once the auto headlights come on. But they look badass when hanging out in a parking lot when everyone's out cruising!

If the DRL is also the blinker, there are three wires: + for the bright filament, + for the dim filament, - for the common ground. I think you need to tap into the dim filament.

The auto-lights can be disabled if you use a scotch block (or another type of crimp) to short together the two wires going to the light sensor near the alarm LED. You can use a switch instead if you want to control when the auto-lights work.

I installed mine tonight and man they sure look nice. Hella lot better than my old oxidized stockers, and the halo looks sweet. I hooked them to the DRL's using a scotch block. Fairly easy install and I used the supplied mount. They fit great. One has a very little gap but it is hardly noticable so I just stuck with the supplied mount.

Kage, those bulbs are awesome!!!!! The brightest headlights I have ever had!!! I just hope they don't get too hot and melt my new headlight housings!
Thanks again!

Sure it's possible.. You can just get rid of the fogs and use the existing wires to make your halos work.

if you want to fix the gap you can put washers on the screws to close it up.
