Default Fast 90 vs Typhoon 96mm intake

ok, i havnt heard of to many people using the typhoon intake or really any results. price is good and it looks amazing, the fast is a proven performer though.

Ported Fast 90mm with a NW 90mm tb is proven to make power. Thats why I would go with it.

I was considering the 80 mm Typhoon and waited for results. Those results told me that I should stick with the 76 mm LS6 intake.

Don't let the extra 6 mm make up your mind for you, go for the proven performer in the Fast 90.

I don't have extra money and have to make every dollar count. I am going with the PP 96/96 when it comes available.

Since I don't think it's even on the market yet, (96/96 PP manfiold), it's tough to really compare the two. Once it hits, and people start to test it, if it makes 90% of the gains that a FAST 90/90 makes, but at 50% of the cost, they will sell a lot, especially considering that you get fuel rails as well.

Time will tell.

I have never seen this 96 mm intake. I want to actually see it and see it on a dyno as well. I'll be a believer after that. Until then, I'll still be spending my bucks with FAST.

My mistake, I just saw that the manifold is in fact available, at least for purchase. Maybe it was the throttle body that hasn't been released yet.

Maybe one of the sponsors will have a 96/96 combo sale for less than the cost of just the FAST 90mm.

Remember people, just because an intake has a bigger TB doesn't mean it's going to flow better. Tony Mamo stated in my FAST 85/85 thread that there was only a few HP diff between a 78MM and a 90MM FAST, especially fully ported. It's the main design of the intake that makes the most difference. I honestly think using a huge TB on a stock cubed engine will give crappy throttle response and a little less power due to the slowing down of the intake charge.

damn a 96mm intake ...almost breaking 100mm soon

the 90/90 setup is true proven power setup for stock cubed h/c motor so you may have to wait for the 96/etc. setups to show their results... just a waiting game right now

I think one point still being missed is this.

FORGET the TB size it's all about hp/$

So if the 96mm Typhoon out performs the LS6 for substantially less money than the FAST 90/90 then I think its a great deal regardless of which setup ultimatley makes the most.

Unless you subscribe to the theory of: How fast do you want to spend?
