baterry gauge still on red???wtf

Default baterry gauge still on red???wtf

i changed my battery and alternator and i thought it was going to fix the problem and make the needle go back to normal but its still just alittle over in the red sometime even in the red....only when i accelerate it goes up allitle but not even in the middle...could it be my gauge??what can i do if it is? any ideas or simular thing happen to anyone?

that little red/black wire that plugs into the top of the alt....did you plug it back in? or is it damaged?

What year is the car? If you have a 1998 then you have to get an alternator for a '98. The little wire that goes to the alternator for a 98 car is 12volt. 99-02 uses 5volt. So if you have a 98 car and use a 99-02 alternator, it will blow it out.

Might it have something to do with your underdrive pulley?
