Default What made you choose the Firebird over the Camaro??

I went with the Firebird because that is all I ever saw growing up. My dad has always been a Firebird guy and has had one since I can remember. i like the Camaros, but there is just something about the Firebird that does it for me.

So, what made you choose the Firebird over the Camaro??

Lol my Dad has always been a Camaro guy, but my whole life I've LOVED Firebirds, it has been my dream car forever! I happen to think they look nicer than Camaros (more aggressive looking and sleeker). The only gen I liked the Camaro better was the 1st gen.... after that the Firebird took the throne

Someone on this site has the best reason in their sig... something like "A Camaro looks like it could kick your ***, the Trans Am looks like it's coming over to do it."

My mom drove a '70 LeMans. When I started driving, I took the car over and tuned it some. I was familiar with the Ponchos when I decided on a '78 TA. That was a fun car. I got the itch last year to get back into muscle cars after 25 years of SUV's. After making a long list of cars I would be happy with, I test drove them. It was an easy choice for the TA. It took about 5 weeks to find one clean enough for me. I think I'll keep it!

I was at Summit today and came home with a Harwood Ram Air hood. I'll need to update my pics soon...

I owned a third-gen Camaro, but when it came to the fourth-gens I preferred the looks of the 'bird.

I liked the aggressive look of the front and Cams just seem to have a less refined looking body. My 2c

I've always been fascinated with the firebird. I like the 1st gen camaros but the firebird always looked better.

I was a Camaro man for the first two generations, the Firebird just didn't look as good to me. But the third gen came out and I was hooked....I just don't care for the look of the Camaro since the 3rd reincarnation....

Funny thing is I wanted a camaro so bad i just liked their styling and I've never noticed Firebirds. I went to a used car dealer to see if this V-6 Camaro was there. Thanks to the power hungry ***** to the wall eye of my dad we walked out with a 5.7 liter formula and this baby stays in the garage and is gonna stay with me for as long as possible.

WS6 looks better imo. It really came down to price for me though. I wanted a WS6/Firehawk or Camaro SS. 02 preferred with low miles. The WS6 happened to be the best deal, so i bought it. Plus it was my fav color for a car, white.

I had my heart set on a SS, but my Formula has grown on me. I had a buddy wiht a Formula and I really started to get into it. In my opinion a Berger or Dick Harrell Camaro or a WS6 Formula is by far the best looking 4th gen. I don't regret buying a Formula at all, in a few months I should have some nice 17's and a ram air hood and I think that will look just as good as any other f-body.
