Default need help please, ASAP. Changed TB and now idling at 2500rpm

Any suggestions?

I also sea foamed it, but i'm certain that my vacuum lines are reattached.

Should i adjust the screw that the throttle flapper actually lands on?
(by this i mean the spring loaded flapper, when closed, is stopped due to a little screw that it lands on)

did i do something wrong? i followed directions EXACTLY

i have always unplugged the tps, turn the key to the on position for a min or 2, turn the key off, plug the sensor back in and start it up.

Try the screw. You should be able to adjust the idle just by screwing it in a little.

What TB did you put on? I hope it wasn't a FAST. Make sure that your throttle cable isn't too short for the new TB. They are adjustable.

it's a P/P stocker from smokin87TA ...the sponsor that does em himself.

the cable isn't too short..

when i start it up it idles fine, but once i start driving it idles at 2-2.5k and only idles down when i come to a complete stop and then wait like 10-15 seconds

its terrible.

I just got my TB from smokin87TA today in the mail. I did the TPS reset at the same time I installed it and it has worked perfect all evening. I'm lovin it. It definitely picked up some power and the improved throttle response is great.

All I can think of is just to make sure there are no leaks & try the reset procedure below one more time. Just ignore step 3. It's what I followed and everything has been great. There was a red o-ring on the IAC sensor, make sure it's there too. I guess maybe the sensor could have gone bad somehow too. If you move around in your driveway with the hood up, can you duplicate the effect? Maybe you could have a friend check to see if the blade could be sticking open.

If you wanna mess with the idle set screw, here is the proper procedure. (thanks to predator-z)
1> Turn ignition off
2> unplug TPS sensor at TB (botom on driver side)
3> open the TB blade a bit via idle screw
4> Turn ignition on (do not crank)
5> wait 30 seconds
6> Turn ignition off
7> Plug TPS sensor back on
8> crank motor and see if it idles better

9> repeat untill idle is to your taste.

I'm wondering if the blade isn't in right. When you had it off did you see if the blad would get stuck?

Take your lid and bellow off and get the screws out and line it up properly so it doesn't stick. It should move freely.
