Default Turbo Tech dyno day results

I didn't get to see everyone pull, but I got a nice video from Robert and Jon. I will post them online soon. Anxious to see everyone's numbers!

A sad day for Robert, he lost his motor on the dyno.

When I left, Jon had the high number of the day.

I didn't run, but just came to watch with my kids. What a great event, and Turbo Tech is an excellent host!

Wink Combine Mishap video for viewing

Hehehehehe, Jon had the highest HP, but Robert had the Highest torque at 665.37 RWTQ, and 511.46 RWHP. But for some reason things fell off about 4750rpm? Could it be that hole in the front of the block? Get that fire beltching from the front vid up, and there is also one showing the ground up piston coming out the tail pipe, hehehehehe. A little JB Weld and things will be back to normal soon.
Robert

Edit: Here's a link to a combined video that won't comprimise Chris's site, hosted at ls1tech (better for sharing).

I'm glad you came out! And it was nice to see the children........too bad it was so cold. I'd liked to have seen about 10 degrees warmer.

Anyways, you still have me beat in the hp area. I was hoping for a little more out of it, but It was good overall. I'll have to build me a forged motor to handle a bigger shot in the future.

Again thanks for sticking around to film my dyno pull. That was very nice of you. Now if we can get you a roll bar for that beast of yours........we can have a great season of fun.

It was great to see so many show. We ended up with 23 cars on the dyno, plus another 5-6 showed just to watch. I'll post video clips once I get them edited and reformatted.

Model breakdown:
6 GTO (plus another 4 just to watch)
6 Corvette
5 F-bodies
2 SRT-4
1 Cobalt
1 Bug
1 Mini
1 Mustang

High HP was Jon in his 2000 C5 Corvette.
High TQ was Robert in his 2002 C5 Z06, even with his malfunction.

I never did get the numbers for Tom's GTO or Mark's WS6(which also wasn't running up to snuff).

So Robert are you going with an LS7 or LS2?

Yeah the kids had a BLAST! Congrats on the top #'s. You're going 10's this year! I'm not sure about the roll bar in mine yet...

So did that C6 Z06 make a pull? I thought I heard Robert say it's running some N2O. It should put down some good #'s.

I wish I got a video of the black C5 Z06 with 427 and Borla Stingers, it sounded sweet!

I got at least one shot of everyone. Decoding it all as I write. 20%...21%...

The C6Z was pretty much stock. It pulled 446hp/417tq.

BTW, I noticed that neither of the Mustangs bothered to put down their HP on the sheet. (I think the red one was 280ish and the blue one was 350ish)

Thanks for setting the day up! I had fun and it was nice to see all the cars. I love hanging out like that........

I was under the impression that the A/F hookup was a one time fee. They charged me $35 per pull. I was like WTF?

Thanks for the video Chris!!

Was it just me or was there a whole lot of smoke coming out from behind my car as I let off the gas pedal? That didn't look right to me. I don't remember seeing smoke or hearing anyone talk about there being smoke........

What do you guys think?

If I recall correctly.........it was the same last time we dyno'd too. Didn't I make more HP and you made more TQ? I'm not sure.......

Sorry to hear about your loss Robert. Guess there's an excuse to build it now.

Congrats to Jon!!

Sounds like you guys had fun. Wish I had something worthy of a dyno day.

It was great to see everyone again. I wasn't planning on going down there since it's so far away but I happened to be in town and only 15 minutes away.

I ended up not running my car, it wasn't worth it quite yet the car isn't 100%. I plain haven't messed with it, and first time it's been driven in a few weeks. The tree pollen has gotten more use out of the car.

It would have been cool to take the top HP rank which would be a weak victory if Mark's car isn't working right. However, I think it'd require a spark plug change and given some of the conditions I'll end up taking care of that later.

Post up more pics! I didn't have my camera with me.

The C6 Z06 made me fall to me knees. I just can't stand looking at those, wayyy to much to handle visually. Absolutely gorgeous. Cool owner as well!
