well...I have been on the boards for awhile, but never posted. I have been awaiting the time when I could purchase a car. I decided on a 99 TA. Has a lid and slp catback. seems to run very well. Couple questoins, how much oil does it take? 5.5 quarts? The car has 80k miles, what general maintance should I do? Do these cars come with a amp or is this something the previous owner forgot about, its located behind the spare tire. One other thing.....my passenger turn signal dosent work and I have changed all the bulbs, is there something common about these cars I should know about? Thanks
Eric

The 2002 transam I had, had the blinker problems every other weekend. My problem was that the bulbs were good, but the socket where the bulb sat was black and crappy looking. I cleaned the hell out of mine, getting the rust crud out of it, and then I got the contact that was needed. I was about to do the replacement when I decided to sell it. This helped me.

thanks for the welcome. Trust me I have done a ton of research. I got the turn signal to work by cleaning the socket out real good. And the owners manual didn't come with my car, otherwise that would have been the first place I looked. From what I have read it takes 5.5 quarts, right? Well, time to start searching for the right exhaust set up.

True duals FTW!
Welcome, let's see some pics of the T/A and GTP please (would also like to know what's done to it since there are a lot of GTP owners here, including myself).
