Default Is it worth a dyno tune?

This winter i installed pacesetter headers and in a couple days i am having a yank ss3600 installed along with 3.42 gears to replace my 2.73's. I know just about nothing about tunning so i was wondering if a basic tune from a speed shop will suit my needs or if i need to just pay up and get a dyno tune.

Any advice would be great. Thanks

I would want to know the difference between the 'basic' tune and the 'dyno' tune. To a large degree it depends on your goals and willingness to live on the edge. It is unlikely that only adding the headers will cause your motor to grenade, but then again your tune may already be aggressive (or you might not have any tuning at all). If you want to make the most of your mods, it is always best to tune the car after making changes: A) it will help you achieve your goals (generally more HP, quicker ET's, and maintain good manners), B) consistent dyno practices can indicate positive or negative changes, C) it just might save your engine.
