Default What is an optimal trailer size for towing

I have a 2002 trans am and am thinking of purshasing a trailer. whether it be a open trailer or enclosed what would be an optimal for either. i would like some opinions before i dive in and regret getting one too large.
i will be towing with my 06 denali xl so it should have the power. i plan on slapping a turbo on the denali next year and i really will have all the towing power i need

For a second I thought you meant towing WITH your 'Bird. I would say a 16-18 Ft enclosed trailer should be more than enough for hauling your car around, along with a toolbox up front.

me and my dad just bought a 18 foot open dovetail. its nice for towing our camaros because of the dovetail. it has a tool box up front, and a tandem axle with electric brakes. we tow it with a 2003 GMC 2500 HD 6.0. very nice setup.
