There are a few sponsors that have some, or can get them for you. Check with Thunder or SDPC.

You going to need different coil pack brackets as well.... Call the junkyard and its also the same on the 5.3 motors as well (Silverados, etc..)

You can always find some every now and then on e-bay. Be sure to check under LS1, trans am, camaro, corvette, and any other car that came with em.

yea i was woundering about this, so 98 year cars when upgrading heads to like ls6 ones need to get the newer style valve covers and coil brackets right? can we keep the 98 coils and bolt them to the newer brackets? and is that all that is needed? Thx

Yea, coils are fine. You just need the center style covers and coill brackets... You can use the ones out of the newer 5.3 motors... I almost took the ones out of my 04 Z71 cause I was to impatient to wait.. Check some of the junkyards, I called a few places and found a motor that had everything that I need. 50 bucks I got covers and brackets.

Reason I know, my car is a 99 but I must have gotten the last of 98 heads. Mine were the perimeter ones as well...
