Street Racing & Kill Stories - CrAzY Story!!

Ok so Im driving home from work and I come up to a Red light and I see another black Ws6 coming up in the right lane....they pull forward just enough for me to see JUST the hood...couldnt see the driver.....So im sitting there and all of a sudden the car starts revving like crazy and the car pulls forward a little as I get ready to launch....I look over and I SWEAR there is a 80 year old lookin lady just waiting to race....she had the grey curly hair, big magnafying glasses and a sweater on!!!!! Im just thinking HOLY SHIT!!! So the light hit green and she roasts them!! It was HILARIOUS!!! so I go slow driving like normal thinking I dont want to race an 80 year old....then I just think what the hell and then downshift back to 1st and race over I passed her pretty quick cause she had an automatic....Anyways just thought I would share this CrAzY experience....

Later that evening im cruisin around and I see some headlights coming up on me quick....thinkin it was a cop I make sure Im doing the speed limit as the car passes its a burgundy 94-97 Cobra (bad ass sounding!) he just takes off and we play follow the leader for awhile till we hit a red light....After the light hit green I slowly started going then punched it and noticed my traction control was on :bang: he got maybe 2 feet ahead of me....while im shifting to 2nd I pull a chuck norris move and hit the TC button off just as I shift and immediately pulled about 4 cars on him....I let off around 95 with bus lengths on him....I tried to give him a thumbs up as I meged onto the highway....he just revved real loud at me and did a ricer fly by....

It's not the fact that she had an automatic and you passed her, it's the fact that you said you passed her because it was an automatic.

Auto's are NO SLOWER then Standard's

go from a 20 roll guess what, they should be pretty damn even. Why?? because they are in the same power band.

When you floor a Auto, does it NOT downshift into the proper gear to keep it up in the higher RPMS?? some people act like a auto downshifts only once and its not enough. If your at the right RPMS a auto will infact downshift 2-3 gears also....

Only difference is Dyno numbers. Thats it. End of story.

I have had a similer thing happen to me. I had a i would say like 60 or 70 and she was in a 93-97 z28. It was really funny.

READ WHAT I POSTED.....STOCK autos are slower off the line.....race from a 40mph roll and I guarentee the auto will lose if its stock

Oh and If you had 2 stock LS1s racing from a dig like you said I would put my money on the 6speed....He can launch at any RPM

Man I've never had a problem with M6s from a roll. In fact, I put 2 cars on my friend's 99 M6 T/A from a 50-100mph roll.... and he has the same mods as me PLUS 4.10 gears and CAI. Autos downshift just as good as you can downshift your standard, not just 1 gear... where do you get your information from, have you ever even driven an automatic?????

And you want to compare a stock auto... when I was bone stock I raced a LS1 M6 WS6 from a 50-140 roll and stayed DEAD EVEN.

The only reason I figured you have never driven one is because you said that automatics only downshift 1 gear.

And I took the 4.10 geared car at the track too by about 3 cars :)

Hmm... You can slow down with out braking in a Auto also.. And when im going 20-30 miles in OD and i punch it im back in 1st.. I dont see anywhere of your were-abouts but if ur near Richmond IN i will be glad to show you how a automatic works in a stock LS1.. Also the launching of any rpms may be true.. but at the same time if u launch at 3-4k rpms how much traction are u gonna have on stock tires? Given mod for mod i would put my money on a auto... Unless its a Highway race which from what i see alot of the times manuals can win but i have always been stock so once i start modding i will know more i suppose.. But as of now Manuals own me in highspeed highway races.. they always get about .5-1 car..

I raced an 00....same mods I had with.....he had a programmer.....I had a maf.....he also had a stall.......from a 20 I pulled away and won by 1 and a haft......and we all know that autos have the fastest track times......



but a 6 speeds is more fun
