Default 9" questions

Ok, I have decided on a 9", but know it'll be forever before I get $2500 all at once to drop for one.

What the cheapest way to build my own??

Buy a housing & axles then find a older center section & get new gears?? Or will that even work.

I need you older experienced guys to school me on this or possibly someone who has already built one for themselves.

Thankx in advance for any help.

I have driven my locker for over 50,000 miles every day in traffic, on road trips, to the track, everywhere, you do have to get used to the noise (the unloacking and locking), but other than that its fine. not as smoth trying to park, becasue it unlocks, but once you get used to it, a normal car feels like a baby. or like the parts are not made on metal. i love mine. no regrets. and you never have to worry about breakking one, i Have a BIG locker in mine, thety make a sofeer locker too that well be more friendly./
