I run a 30K GVW cooler with my SS3600.... it came to me free from Yank... but they are normally a little over $50 I believe... my previous 20K (hayden) was something like $35.... not 100% sure though, its been a while.

grab a universal cooler from jegs and mount it up on your air dam with nice rubber hose and good clamps inline with the factory trans cooler that runs through the radiator.

For a 3600, any plate type cooler of 16k GVW or more should do the trick; a 19K is a little better for car that gets beat on hard or operates in 100* temps.

Yank doesn't sell tranny coolers...

Any sponsors sell them? Don't want to trudge through the entire list!

I like this one:

B&M 24,000 GVW transmission cooler for $54.95 from New Era Performance. I have one and it works great! I have driven 40 minutes to a track, hot lapped five passes immediately after arriving and had no issues.

Here is the main website if you want to buy one online:

Go to Advance Auto.. They carry Hayden tranny coolers. Get the biggest one they offer. $30-40 bucks. I have this on my car and my tranny temps stayed around 160-170* flogging the car multiple times.

Get a Perma Cool with a big fan on it. Also bypass the radiator cooler.

I am still using the radiator cooler with my Aftermarket one. So far no problems, with it.

30K B&M here and it's good on the highway in any temperature. Only problems I have is around town in the hot Florida weather. If I hotrod it a little, it gets up to the 220-230 temperature range ... many will debate this is normal, but, many will say it's extremely too hot. To be safe, at summer's end, I always have a full flush/service to keep the fluid and tranny fresh. 220+ temps do cause the fluid to break down substantially ... thinking of an additional cooler ... maybe a 19K to supplement the 30K. Another option would be a fan for the 30K. That probably would be great for getting stuck in traffic ... get one with a built-on fan if you can find a place to mount it ... but, only because you're in the deep south.
