The search button is not working so I hope you guys can help me. I took off my stock throttle body and noticed the inside was cracking or looked like it was going to start to flake off. Its hard to explain. Anyway, if I need a new TB do you guys think I'd benefit from a NW 90 TB with a F.A.S.T intake. How much HP would I gain?

I have a 2002 SS with Kooks long tube headers, LS6 intake manifold loudmouth exhaust, and SLP 85mm MAF. (I know the SLP is crap I plan on putting the stock MAF back on, but I have no problems with the SLP). Oh yeah and I dont have a tune.

I just figured if i was going to spend some money, why not upgrade.

You wont gain too much but it is great to have if you ever want to put a cam in. Plus its pimp. They can be had for cheap new if you look in the right places.

If you are planning on atleast a cam later on then yes go with the 90mm setup...otherwise stick with the ls6 and ported tb.

Damn you guys are quick!!! Yes i plan on putting a cam in the future, but i'm not sure when thats gonna happen.

About how much HP gain is this without the cam?

Should I tune it even if i'm not getting a cam yet?

I just installed my FAST 85/85 (custom made) and I figure on a solid 20 HP increase over my stock LS1 intake and TB. With an LS6, figure on maybe a 10 HP increase with a 90/90
