Default Patrick G, and other Cam geniuses

custom cam for a LS2 6spd w/ intake and headers.
im looking for power and torque down low through top end. want low end trq for the street,i.e. 1500-4000 rpm. im sure you get the point.
how would the famed 228/232 110 work on the 364cid LS2?? would it start running out of breathe up top because of the bigger motor?

thanks guys

That cam would work exceptionally well with a 6.0L. To balance torque down low and up high, you'll want to have +2 degrees of advance ground in. Since your exhaust is better than your intake, you may even consider a single pattern cam. A 230/230 .592/.592 110LSA +2 would work even better IMO.

thank you Patrick, the whole list of mods for the C6 will be...
Snake Charmer intake
ported LS2 intake and TB
LG Pro headers w/ X-pipe
stock mufflers

I would love to have a cam that will beat the stocker in trq numbers down in the street RPM, i.e. 1500-4000 rpm. I can not stand driving my buddies T/A w/ the TR230, it feels like the engine is just chuggin' along at lower rpm... like there is NO power. at about 4500 or so it pulls good. but I want power from 1500+ ya know?

thanks

think smaller duration @.050, if you want brute lowend end trq. with 108-110icl. 230+duration @.050 will not give you the best trq from 1500-4000. 216/224 or 218/224 cams on a 112 will give really awesome lowend trq in that range you are looking for, but not as much power up top you might be hoping for. if those seem to small try something in the 222/228 range.

Here is a graph of an 05 GTO LS2 with:

Induction/Headers/Stock Throttlebody/Stock LS2 Intake/Stock Pulley/Vengeance VRX3 Camshaft (238/240 .608/.603 113)... I know the pull doesnt start until 3000rpm, but this will give you an idea of what a larger sized camshaft can do with the proper valve timing events/good tuning.

Patrick or Ron, How would the low end from 1500+ rpm be for a 230/230 compared to 224 cam?? I will give up the topend power for the low speed trq. I was also considering a custom grind based on the LPE-GT11 cam.

opinions?

thanks so much
